Rumplestiltskin and Belle pics will be up soon, but I couldn't resist taking a little snapshot of their props; Gaston --er, the rose for Belle, and the chipped cup for Rumple.
The rose was simple enough, it's made from felt. The cup on the other hand, made from fleece and, ahh, it was quite a bit harder.
I had no idea how to go about making a teacup and searched for a pattern for a general idea on how to go about it to no avail, so I had to make my own. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out! I'm not entirely happy with the handle, but I didn't want to make a generic round handle so the minor issues I have with it, I can deal. ^__^
You did such a wonderful job on this teacup!! I try to look up ideas sometimes, when I'm making something I've never made before, but in a way it's more fun to take on the challenge of making something completely from scratch yourself, and you did a superb job!
Of course, of course. Though I seem to have this ridiculous gift of unending patience and perseverance, because even when something frustrates the hell out of me and I say I'll never go back to it... I inevitably do, and I will inevitably try again. I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. xD
Lol. I think it's a good thing. I know when I have a complete fail at something, I get so "arggh!" but then the second attempt inevitably turns out better than the first, so it's almost like a blessing in disguise; a very, very good disguise.
Heh heh. Well it would be sad if we gave up on everything that didn't go quite to plan the first... or second... or third time round... It's rewarding to know you failed once or twice, but you still got back up and succeeded!!
And the rose is gorgeous too!
Of course, of course.
